HEALTH SCARE
So, I'm still really upset about the whole health care debate, but my anger has now shifted from Obama and Democrats to the American people themselves ... Based on polling, it seems that the non-stop lies and scare tactics used by conservatives is actually working; the public has started to back off from their desire for real health care reform and a strong public option. What just drives me crazy, though, is the fact that the folks being tricked by these talking points are the same exact people whom the insurance companies are going to screw as soon as they get sick. Why don't people understand that!?
Anyway, here's Keith Olbermann's Special Comment On Health Care Reform. Once again, he's right on ...

Did you miss the last 9 years?
Bill Maher just wrote a great piece on The Huffington Post about how Americans are really stupid.
I'm not going to talk about the whole post in general (I recommend you go read it), but I wanted to point out the following quote:
"There's a lot of populist anger directed towards Washington, but you know who concerned citizens should be most angry at? Their fellow citizens. "Inside the beltway" thinking may be wrong, but at least it's thinking, which is more than you can say for what's going on outside the beltway."
He's exactly right, and I think that's pretty much the same thing I was saying in this post.
Stupid anger directed toward D.C. would suit me just fine.
The politicians are upset because someone is lying? That's a hoot!
Thanks for sharing this post. I think the more we "disseminate" truthful information, the better chance we have of fighting back. How on earth do we reach those who are believing the lies?
